Community made content is sometimes the best type of content that you can have in a video game. Games like Skyrim are basically being carried by the community, which is something the developers and publishers are well aware of.
The Sims are similar in this fashion, particularly the last game, which is bug-riddled from the get go and often considered the worst in the series. But, when you have a community which is willing to maintain the game and make it better, then you know that you have a good community.
Though, not all mods are functional. Some mods are simply cosmetic and add items, objects and clothing that the users can enjoy.
Mods like the Werewolves mod are a bit different. They add an entire element of gameplay that was previously missing. Here is what you need to know about the mod.
Werewolves Mod – A Fan Project
This mod is being built by SpinningPlumbobs, a creator on Patreon. The project is a mod which adds a lot of content on top of an already great game pack called Vampires. In fact, Vampires is a necessity if you want the mod to work. Without Vampires, core parts of the mod will not work.
The mod adds Lycanthropy to the list of things you can learn. You can become a werewolf and do things most human-dogs would, like be fast and furious, while also shedding fur and itching all over. Here is how to start the journey.
Werewolves – It All Starts With a Computer
Nowadays, you can’t even become a werewolf without using a computer. You should have your sim use a computer and go to a site called LycanSource.com. On this site, the werewolf to be can gain knowledge about werewolves and lycanthropy. Once visited, the sim gains the Werewolf Lore skill.
With the skill, a sim can learn to care about other werewolves or how to care for themselves if they become a werewolf. One does not need to become a werewolf if they don’t want to, of course.
What You Can Do With the Mod
Well, anything, just as Sims generally allow us to do. The Werewolf mod obviously allows you to become a werewolf. You can also meet other werewolves and socialize. You can socialize with regular people and even vampires. You can also engage in combat with others, if you want to. You can unlock perks that are made for lycanthropy only, allowing you to remove some of its negative effects, such as bad breath or shedding fur.
You can also mate and have babies, but be careful. You don’t get human, but rather werewolf babies.
The Werewolf mod is a great project and an interesting way to make Sims 4 more enjoyable.
